Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11. God knows we are going to be challenged with different temptations. The devil is out there, looking to devour us, 1 Peter 5:8. We must put on the whole armor of God to fight against the wiles of the devil. Through studying his word, prayer, being around other brethren, attending church on Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening, we can strengthen our armor.
Through the bible, we know God will not let us be tempted more than we can handle. There have no temptation taken you but such is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptations also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13. The escape part is important too. God knows we will be in situations where we may sin. If we look for it, there will be a way to escape without sinning.
This is part of the reason why we must put on our armor of God everyday. We are protected by the armor and able to escape temptation, and through both we can elude the advancement of the devil.
